Hamnen.se is now Skippo.se – Sweden's largest site for everyone who loves life at sea.

Nordic's largest navigation app Skippo and the boating magazine Hamnen.se are jointly making a significant push to create the largest Nordic site for boating life on the new Skippo.se.

Just in time for the boat show "Allt för Sjön 2024", the entire editorial content of Hamnen and future productions are moving to Skippo.se, which will become a new digital gathering place for everything that boating life has to offer. This comes after Skippo acquired Hamnen last spring with a clear intention – to become a complete source of inspiration and knowledge for everyone who loves life at sea.

The editorial team at Hamnen.se has for decades provided consumer information, entertainment, and boating knowledge in an innovative way and will continue to do so. This includes filmed boat tests, quick news, investigative consumer information, and entertaining journalism. But now with significantly more resources and an expanded focus on destination features and knowledge where experience and feeling as usual are in focus.

"Skippo app is already used by nearly a million people in the Nordics and by combining their knowledge, experiences, and data with high-quality editorial content, we can create entirely new and in-demand services that boaters have not seen before," says Skippo's CEO Fredrik Oscarson.

Gustav Morin, editor-in-chief of Skippo.se, adds:

"It's all about simplifying and enhancing the boating life. We aim to inspire through our website and make boating more accessible to everyone. Not least with our app and presentations of everything one might seek in the archipelago. In practice, this will mean that the threshold to our thousands upon thousands of islands, islets, and reefs, as well as all services in our Swedish waters, will be significantly lowered."

What does all this mean in practice?

From March 7, 2024, anyone surfing to Hamnen.se will be redirected to Skippo.se. Here resides the same cheerful and knowledgeable editorial team as before but with more resources and modern tools.
